In addition, the arc power supply's arc stabilization performance, especially the minimum arc stabilization current, greatly influences the film's consistency, efficiency, and finish. A multi-arc ion coating machine is equipped with a few arc power supplies, more than a dozen, or even dozens of sets. Stable and reliable operation is crucial to the performance of the entire equipment. Arc power supply from the traditional power supply, through the use of thyristor technology, developed to the current high-frequency inverter. Compared with the arc power supply made by traditional electromagnetic and thyristor technology, the high-frequency inverter arc power supply mainly has the following characteristics: 1. The size is reduced, and it is only a fraction of the old power supply; The weight of the corresponding power supply is only a fraction to a tenth of the traditional power supply. 2. The efficiency of the power supply is significantly improved, which is about 20% to 30% higher than the efficiency of the old power supply. 3. Light operation, high current adjustment accuracy, good steady flow performance, conducive to accurate control of film thickness and ensure repeatability of film thickness. 4. The arc power supply with high-frequency inverter mode has smaller ripple, and its response speed is much higher than that of the old power supply. Under the same arc source and working conditions, the use of high-frequency inverter arc power supply is conducive to improving the stability of the arc and reducing the number of arc extinguishing.
